A charming Andalucian town by the sea
Estepona is a charming Andalucian town on the Costa del Sol in Southern Spain aprox 20 minutes drive from the world renowned Puerto Banus Harbour in Marbella. Popular for its 20km of beaches and the Port of Estepona, it has developed into one of the nicest towns on the Costa del Sol and attracts both locals and tourists all year round. This is mainly due to having aprox 325 days of sunshine, nice beachfront restaurants and being close to all amenities.
Since 2011 when Mr Jose Maria Urbano was appointed Mayor of Estepona the town has been positively transformed, improving the roads, infrastructure, parks, beaches, housing and a state of the art hospital that has been recently opened by the Mayor as-well as general public services. As a result, Estepona residents are now benefiting and enjoying a much better standard of living.
One of the most popular places to visit in Estepona is the amazing Selwo Safari Park which is located just a few minutes drive from the town centre, which offers an African Safari theme and is the home to 2000 different animals from all over the World. Another attractive part of Estepona is the old town which is full of small, cosy narrow streets with traditional houses as-well as there being a number of Plazas (Squares) where locals meet up for tapas and to socialise. A big positive about Estepona is that it caters for all interests by offering the public a number of Spanish and International restaurants, nice beaches, a wide selection of shops and numerous Golf courses such as the famous Finca Cortesin that hosted the World Match Play Championship 2009, 2010 & 2012.
We warmly recommend you visit this charming town.
